The time has come. 7 time champion, Sir Lewis Hamilton, has just announced his retirement. His departure from Ferrari, and a lack of race seat for the 2027 season makes all the more sense now. It seems as his mind has was set on a life after Formula 1.
To say that Lewis has had a successful career is a massive understatement, as he will always be in the GOAT conversation, weather you like it or not. His list of accolades and records is huge, and his character even bigger. A personality that surely will be missed around the paddock.
We at Atlantic Racing wish Lewis all the best in his next chapter post-Formula 1!

TRIVIA / STATISTICS
Now after three seasons of this F1 Manager playthrough, I wanted to compile some statistics and jot down a few things I found noteworthy.

POINTS OF INTERESTS
In 2026, Red Bull and McLaren were the only teams who won races. Red Bull won 8, and McLaren a staggering 16 races.
Mercedes has not won a single race during this playthrough!
Aston Martin, Atlantic Racing and Williams all got their first podiums in 2026. Aston got 6, Atlantic Racing 5 and Williams 2.
With Sauber finally scoring points in 2026, Alpine now remains the only team that hasn't score a point yet.
After a dominant 2026 season, Piastri has become the 2nd most winning driver, after only Max.
Haas has a insane amount of DNF's, 29 total over the past 3 seasons. A big contributor to this worrying statistic is Logan Sargeant, who has 12 total.
Red Bull has won over half of all races so far, sitting at a 58% win rate.
Only 3 teams have won races so far: Red Bull, Ferrari and McLaren.
Out of the drivers who've been on the grid for all three seasons, only three are still without a DNF: Max, Piastri and Gasly.
Those were some stats and facts that caught my eye. I wonder what 2027 will have in store for us!
