10 - F2 & F3 Contenders / Atlantic Racing Affiliates

This will be the last pre-season post for 2027. In this entry we're going to take a quick look at the contenders in Formula 2 and Formula 3 for the 2027 season.

The Formula 2 grid for the 2027 season

In Formula 2, obviously the big name is Red Bull's affiliate, Kimi Antonelli. He has to be looked at as the favorite to take the overall win this season. Ferrari's affiliate, Ti Seok is also widely considered to be Antonelli's biggest competition in 2027, and it just so happens to be that they're teammates. Both had a strong season in 2026, and it will be very interesting to see how they stack up this year.

The grid for Formula 3 for the 2027 season

Above you can see the full 30 driver roster for Formula 3 this year. Colapinto is likely the biggest name here, and is expected to fight for the title this year. Colapinto is a Williams affiliate and they'll be sure to follow his progress closely.

ATLANTIC RACING - AFFILIATES

Us at Atlantic Racing have set a goal to strengthen our affiliate program in 2027. Currently we only have two affiliates, Lindblad and Bustamante.

Lindblad is already entering his 3rd F2 season, at only 19 years old. He's not had the best results so far, finishing 12th (37 points) in 2025, and 13th (22 points) in 2026. We're hoping for a bit of a leap forward from him this year, as we've already invested substantial time and money into his career. He's driving yet again for Van Armersfoort Racing, alongside Santiago Ramos. This is the last year of his contract, so we'll see if we decide to retain him going forward or look at other options.

Bustamante has not progressed much, and her role with the team for the 2027 season is to be involved with car development. She has not managed to get a F3 seat, and frankly it's unlikely to happen at all. We've enjoyed her tenure with the team, but unfortunately we don't see us extending her contract past 2027.

We will keep a close eye on the progress in F2 and F3 this year, hoping to find some suitable talent to join our affiliate program and become a part of the Atlantic Racing family.
